In this workshop we will discuss briefly what makes a successful painting- use of color, values , composition and texture.  We will then review basic color theory with some quick exercises. We then will work on a painting from life and identify problems as we go along. There will be a demonstration of the principles we are trying to apply and of specific techniques to obtain texture. This will involve the use of a painting knife as well as the power of the brush stroke. We will also explore the use of mediums available with acrylics and the advantages of doing so.
The price for this whole day workshop is $150.
